Geography: Located in southern Montana, on the Yellowstone River, about 30 miles north of Yellowstone Park, and 20 miles south of Livingston, MT.  Emigrant sits between the Absaroka Mountains and the Gallatin Mountains.  The Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness Area and the Gallatin National Forest is only a few miles away.   Chico Hot Springs is located 5 miles from Emigrant.

Transportation: Emigrant is located on Highway 89, 24 miles south of Livingston and 23 miles north of Gardiner, MT.  Gallatin Field Regional Airport is located 44 miles away outside of Bozeman.  Bozeman offers a variety of transportation services.
