Geography: Plentywood is located along Big Muddy Creek in the
northeast corner of Montana. Big Muddy Creek runs into the Missouri
south of town near Culbertson. The Medicine Lake National Wildlife
Refuge is south of town.
Transportation: Plentywood is located at the intersection of
highway 5 and highway 16.
Weather: Average high temperature in the summer ranges
from 78° in June, 84° in July, and 84° in August, with average lows in the
high 40s to low 50s. June usually has the most rainfall with an
average of 2.82 inches. The average high temperature in the winter ranges
from 28° in December, 23° in January, and 31° in February, with average
lows in the single digits. The average snowfall in December and
