Geography: White Sulphur Springs is nearly surrounded by the Lewis and Clark National Forest with the Big Belt Mountains to the west, the Castle Mountains to the east, and the Little Belt Mountains to the north. The Smith River runs through town flowing to the Missouri River at Ulm.

Transportation: Located at the junction of US Hwy 89, US Hwy 12, and MT Hwy 360.

Weather:  Average high temperature in the summer ranges from 71° in June, 81° in July, and 80° in August, with average lows in the high 40s.  June usually has the most rainfall with an average of 2.72 inches. The average high temperature in the winter ranges from 33° in December, 30° in January, and 35° in February, with average lows in the low teens.  The average snowfall in December and January is 15 inches.
