Geography: Located at the base of the Judith, Moccasin, and Big Snowy Mountains, along Big Spring Creek. The Little Belt Mountains are 35 miles southwest of town, and the Missouri River is 65 miles north of Lewistown along Hwy 191.

Transportation: 128 miles northwest of Billings and 105 miles west of Great Falls, Lewistown is located at the intersection of US Hwy 87 and US Hwy 191.

Weather:  Average high temperature in the summer ranges from 71° in June, 81° in July, and 80° in August, with average lows in the high 40s.  June usually has the most rainfall with an average of 3.52 inches. The average high temperature in the winter ranges from 35° in December, 32° in January, and 36° in February, with average lows in the low teens.  The average snowfall in December and January is 10.5 inches.
